Heuer Monaco
The Heuer Monaco is no ordinary watch. Rather, the sporty chronograph is a milestone in watchmaking and, as such, has long since become a cult object. At the time of its introduction in 1969, the rectangular model was the world's first automatic chronograph that could be worn on the wrist. The watch was named in honour of the legendary Formula 1 Grand Prix, which is held year after year in the principality of the same name on the Côte d'Azur. However, the Monaco collection first achieved real world fame on the wrist of actor Steve McQueen, who wore the watch in his celebrated racing blockbuster Le Mans in 1971.
